Who we are
This policy explains how Proof of Actor ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through the proofofactor.com website. Proof of Actor is in development and does not yet operate a production verification service; this policy covers the website only.
Information we collect
Early access and design-partner applications: the details you enter in the form, such as your name, work email, company, role, website, the problem you describe and your approximate interaction volume.
Technical information: when you submit a form, we record the time of submission and your browser's user-agent string to help prevent abuse. Our servers and hosting providers also keep standard request logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and reliability.
Preferences stored in your browser: your language and colour-theme choices are stored locally in your browser so the site remembers them. They are not sent to us.
How we use it
To evaluate your application, contact you about the Developer Preview or a design partnership, understand which verification problems matter most, and protect the website from abuse. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and handle applications, under obligations to protect it, or where the law requires it.
Retention
We keep application information for as long as it is needed to evaluate and follow up on your application, and then delete or anonymise it. You may ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to its processing. To exercise them, contact us using the address below.
Changes and contact
